Hi! I'm Allie (short for Alexandra) Schallert (previously Hendricks).

I'm a visual journalist from upstate New York. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a major in Photojournalism and a minor in Music.

I am currently based in St. Louis, Mo. as a Videographer/Photographer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. I am also a Part 107 certified drone pilot.

In 2025 my work was recognized for multiple categories in NPPA's Best of Photojournalism, including an honorable mention for online video portfolio. I also won first place in the Hearst Journalism Awards multimedia competition in 2023, and placed in three categories in their monthly competition from 2023-2024. 

Whether news or nature, I love documenting the world and showing parts of life that are otherwise unknown or overlooked.
